Some Statistics:

  • 235 homeless youth engaged in Youth Continuum programs, an increase of 140% in tw​o years.(Youth Continuum Results, 2010) 

  • 3,938 people experience homelessness in New Haven each year, 35% of whom are youth under the age of 24.(New Haven Homeless Count, 2003)

  • One in three youth will be lured into prostitution within 48 hours of leaving home. (National Safe Place, 2010)

  • 500 phone calls were fielded through Youth Continuum's Call Center. (Youth Continuum Results, 2010)

Youth Continuum manages a comprehensive Street Outreach Program, Drop-In Center and Emergency Shelter for homeless and runaway youth located in downtown New Haven. The Drop-In Center offers assessment, counseling, basic needs, referrals, job readiness skills, and personal enrichment opportunities through our MacMullen Education Training and Enrichment Center.
