For young people who are outside of the foster care, juvenile justice, mental health or other child welfare system, the TLP provides a bridge between homelessness and a comprehensive array of programs and services designed to provide stable housing arrangements, skill training and empowerment for youth in their quest for a positive future and independent living. Services offered include:

  • 24 hours of staff support

  • Life skills training and services at Street Outreach site

  • Access to medical treatment and medical insurance

  • Access to outside community services through referral sources

  • Individual, family and group counseling

  • Substance abuse counseling, prevention and intervention

  • Development of a transitional living plan; facilitation and implementation of life goals

  • Educational and vocational guidance, including enrollment assistance, financial aid assistance, tutoring and GED preparation

  • Employment guidance

  • GLBQTI awareness training for youth 

  • Recreational planning and implementation

  • Safe living accommodations that foster growth and independence
